.travel is a top-level domain approved by ICANN on April 8, 2005, as a sponsored TLD in the second group of new TLD applications evaluated in 2004. It is restricted to the use of travel agents, airlines, bed and breakfast operators, tourism bureaus, and others in the travel industry. It is sponsored by Tralliance Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of TheGlobe.com.

In the process of registering .travel domain an applicant should use Travel UIN. Travel UIN can be obtained by persons involved in travel or tourist industry. You should either create a new site or forward the domain to existing site which is dedicated to tourist or travel business within 60 days of domain purchase. The domain is checked yearly and in case it does not point to the site dedicated to travel or tourist business it will be deleted.

For obtaining Travel UIN please fill in this form. In case of successful information verification you will be given Travel UIN and may register .travel domain. Travel UIN should be obtained only once and can be used later for further .travel registrations.
